Ethically grown on small organic farms in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, our beans are transformed in the beautiful enclave of Denmark, in the pristine southwest corner of Western Australia. The transformation process is done in small batches with extreme care, using a traditional stone grinder to make our traditional Ceremonial Cacao, it  truly is a food of the gods.

How to consume: To make a ceremonial cacao drink at home, approach the process with reverence and intention. Start by melting 30g of cacao in a small bowl over a pan of hot water, and then mix it with 120g of your chosen liquid, such as water, milk, or a milk substitute. Adjust the ratio to suit your taste, and sweeten if desired.

Ceremonial Cacao Elixir

Ingredients:

  • 30g ceremonial cacao
  • 1 cup (240ml) hot water or plant-based milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp natural honey
  • A pinch of chili powder or cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cacao: Chop the ceremonial cacao into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Heat the Liquid: In a small saucepan, heat the water or milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
  3. Melt the Cacao: Add the chopped cacao to the saucepan and stir until it melts completely.
  4. Add Flavors: Add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and chili powder or cayenne pepper if using. Stir until well combined.
  5. Whisk: Whisk the mixture until it’s smooth and frothy.
  6. Serve: Pour the elixir into a mug and enjoy it mindfully.
