Foragers Ceremonial Cacao Elixir
Ingredients:
- 30g ceremonial cacao
- 1 cup (240ml) hot water or plant-based milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp natural honey
- A pinch of chili powder or cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Cacao: Chop the ceremonial cacao into small pieces and set aside.
- Heat the Liquid: In a small saucepan, heat the water or milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
- Melt the Cacao: Add the chopped cacao to the saucepan and stir until it melts completely.
- Add Flavors: Add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and chili powder or cayenne pepper if using. Stir until well combined.
- Whisk: Whisk the mixture until it’s smooth and frothy.
- Serve: Pour the elixir into a mug and enjoy it mindfully.
