Foragers Ceremonial Cacao Elixir


  • 30g ceremonial cacao
  • 1 cup (240ml) hot water or plant-based milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp natural honey
  • A pinch of chili powder or cayenne pepper (optional)


  1. Prepare the Cacao: Chop the ceremonial cacao into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Heat the Liquid: In a small saucepan, heat the water or milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
  3. Melt the Cacao: Add the chopped cacao to the saucepan and stir until it melts completely.
  4. Add Flavors: Add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and chili powder or cayenne pepper if using. Stir until well combined.
  5. Whisk: Whisk the mixture until it’s smooth and frothy.
  6. Serve: Pour the elixir into a mug and enjoy it mindfully.
